I hate updates. And i know why.

I hate updates. And i know why.
Using d10.2.1 for a long time i reluctantly wanted to update
to 10.2.3. But i did. well i do not know why i pay money?
luckily i had a backup !!!!
1. directory of Android sdk/ndk gone.
2. some experts gone.
3. some components gone.
4. fmx tee by by.
5. and much more.
6. but after 2 days i managed to compile both. who will pay for my time ?
7. I am left with a problem GETIT dose not work
I suspect some thing bother GETIT but what ? a component?

    Come on, just revert to your last snapshot, dust yourself off and try again. Updating the IDE is standard procedure for a mobile App developer. And nothing broke for me...at least nothing unfixable.

    Have you used the same installer type for the update? If your 10.2.1 was installed via image you must use the image installer to install the update (and uninstall the IDE before that). You can not use the webinstaller. And vice versa.

    They are different and it is important to do it as I wrote. In this document: docwiki.embarcadero.com - 10.2 Tokyo - Release 3 - RAD Studio You will find this:
    "To preserve your existing installation settings, it is recommended to install 10.2.3 Tokyo, build 3231 using the same installer (Offline Installer or Feature Installer) you used when installing 10.2 Tokyo. To determine which installer you used, verify if the IDE shows the Manage Platforms option under the Tools menu. If the menu item is available it means you used the Feature Installer"

    Guy's you want believe how i work with GETIT.
    I execute ver D10.2.1 (it shows D10.2.3) i open GETIT use it .
    Close. GoTo 10.2.3 and work.

    For 10.2.3 I used the same installer as previous version. I saved then imported my settings using the dedicated utility.
    Still I "lost" all my 3rd part components. As almost every time I update. It's the only IDE with which occurs such problems. I use Eclipse, Netbeans, Android Studio, Visual Studio and more.
    So I stronlgy agree with you, it's insupportable.

    Sébastien Paradis some one at Embaracadero has to answer those allegations. Better yet replace quality control with better people. As for the other IDE's i use them too and totally agree.
    P.S i do not recall so many problems with the older versions.

    shlomo abuisak I switched directly from D2007 to D10, so I cannot judge all previous XE releases. By "every time" I was talking about Seattle, Berlin, Tokyo. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

    What surprises me most compared to other IDEs is the process of uninstalling/reinstalling the whole RAD. AFAIK it's the only one with such a heavy behavior.

    Sébastien Paradis well uninstalling/reinstalling behavior is quit common but without those problems.
    Many of us write professional programs.I have many programs out there that i never uninstall. Some are in big companies with lots of computers , and different section, and never needed to uninstall.
    well some one is not doing a good job.

    It dose not mean that i am the only one that write about the problem
    that it dose not exist.

    Finally i hope some Embarcadero people that monitor this section will convey the message.
